A Little More WCHC

Sorry for the delay, kids, but this has been catch-up week for me around the homestead. Of course, when I catch up with house work, my back has a tendency to flare up on me, so I've been dealing with that, as well. :o/

*sigh* I hate getting older.

But... Here are a few more pics from West Coast Haunters. Ape had a fantastic time, and managed to "scare" a haunt actor. I think maybe she was being kind to him, so please, don't tell him he wasn't as fierce and scary as he thought!
The Bloodshed Brothers, kind enough to pose with an old lady like me!
Haunted Memories, with the best t-shirt of the show!
Hauntcast supporter, Skull Shoppe, posing with Chris Aype.

That smile is why I keep making those silly jack-o'-lanterns!
More soon!

BlogTV Thanks

Well, I did my first BlogTV show last night, armed with my blue raspberry martini. Big thanks go out to Fright Guy, The Bloodshed Brothers, and Chris Baker for co-hosting and making the show almost halfway intelligent.
For those not able to make it, we had two home haunt celebs join us to chat: Mr. Chicken and Spider Rider, both of whom are gracious enough to be helping me with a new prop and revamping an old one. Chris Davis of Davis Graveyard checked in for some fun, too, and debated the value of blue drinks vs. wine.

We had two new TV stars appear, as well: Christmas Ape and Samhain. Neither of them has much comment, although Ape thinks Jeromy looks pretty hot in his little blue dress. (Credit for the pic goes to Jody Bossert of Haunted Night.)
I'll get some new pics of Sam up shortly. I have to say, it was pretty wild being gone for a week and coming back to see how much he'd grown in just that short time! He didn't seem to mind being on TV, and didn't demand his own trailer and makeup people, unlike Ape, who can be a little full of himself sometimes. Ape, by the way, has new Facebook pics from the Shasta trip, if you want to check them out.

I took the opportunity to show off the latest creations out of the kiln, so if you missed that part, you'll just have to wait until I put pics up for the Etsy store! (Big thanks to DixieDawn for her mini-ghost purchases!)
O.k. kids, it's time for me to get back to making Hallowe'en!

This Is It! -And Other Things

Sam at 1 week
Today is the day I've been waiting for for six months: the day Samhain comes home. (As if you weren't painfully aware of that!)

I'm heading out to the garage right now to put some Great Stuff in the gaps of the foam board insulation I installed a couple of days ago, so it's ready when the drywall guy comes this afternoon to install and mud the drywall. I find it hilarious that as long as I've been using joint compound, Great Stuff and foam board insulation, this will be the first time ever that I've used them for their intended purposes!

After, I'm going to continue puppy-proofing, as I remembered in the middle of the night one area in which sharp, pointy things could seriously hurt him. I'm also trying to work out in my mind the best configuration for an outside containment area that he can play in and learn how to access through the dog doors, but won't restrict the other dogs. We may have to go back to playing doorman for a while.
In other great news, The Bloodshed Brothers are going pro! They have joined forces with The Field of Screams and will be haunting from The Haunted Stadium this Hallowe'en! Head over to this Blood Vlog for details. I'm so very excited and proud of these guys! They're great people and fabulous haunters, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they do in a pro forum.

O.K., gotta run! Will be back with pics of Sam's homecoming very soon!

The Home Haunters Video Awards Ceremony!

In the event you were unaware, The Bloodshed Brothers have announced the winners of the Home Haunters Video Awards! (Great job guys, and your sister is an awesome zombie!)Click on the pic to watch!
A heartfelt congratulations to everyone who won, and a big thanks to those who took the time to submit their videos for us to see!

An especially huge thanks to Chris and Jeff Davis for their hard work in compiling the videos, putting everything together and just making it go! They are very busy people in their private lives, and for them to take on this herculean task and donate their time and money to this venture is just a small indication of their quality and generosity. (I'm not worthy!)
