For the Despot On Your Great Pumpkin List

Now, at ThinkGeek.com, your very own Iron Throne. Now, people will have to genuflect in your presence, which is all to the good, I say.

And you can chop people's heads off if you want, and nobody can do a thing about it! Cool, huh?

Hauntcast is Available!

The latest and greatest episode of Hauntcast is now available, but in a strange and unusual spot for a little bit today. It's in the "Past Shows" portion until Guy shakes off the D.T.'s and posts it to the home page with all its nifty graphics. Not only that, but we're welcoming in Ed Gannon and Fright Guy to the Hauntcast Scream Team, so it should be a fabulously amazing show!
As an aside, Think Geek is having a clearance sale on Haunted Memories changing portraits, so if you've wanted one, you might want to pop over there and check it out. The sale is better than you can currently get at the Haunted Memories site (although you have to supply your own frame, so the cost may end up the same), and will make a nice detail for your house.

April 1st, the Geek Day of Reckoning!

Lord Vader poses with a Light Saber Popsicle
Once a year, on April Fool's Day, Think Geek releases its April Fool's catalogue of imaginary products. Mixed in with real products, it's hard to tell what awesome thing is for sale, or just a pipe dream.

A couple of years ago, the infamous Tauntaun Sleeping Bag was part of this April Fool's prank, and the response was so huge that they started manufacturing it!

Head over there and be amazed!

More Shopping Ideas

First, I'm falling in love with various t-shirt companies, and some companie that have other stuff, but also happen to carry cool t-shirts. You all know about Crazy Dog T-Shirts, and that they've got some great horror-movie-related t's on sale.

I've discovered that I really like the "in-joke" t's best, rather than t's that are just a movie ad. When you run across someone who knows the reference, you feel like you're in this exclusive, "Fight Club" kind of club. I think this adds a level of geeky coolness we never had before.

Think Geek has actually put together a page for those gorram Browncoats who love Firefly. It's got both t's and other shiny Firefly stuff for us. There's also a great in-shirt for Trek fans.

Pumpkinrot was the one who originally turned me on to the U.K. based company, Last Exit To Nowhere. They actually have a horror t-shirt page for us! I particularly love the one inspired by that lovely old film, "The Wicker Man."

Every time I look at that site, I find more t-shirts I can't live without.

Hope that helps with your shopping! Oh, and if you want to head over to the Hauntcast site, I have the list of links for the websites I mentioned on the last episode posted.

Happy shopping!
