How to Get Rain in the Middle of a Drought

Seriously. Worst drought in California in years. 

 Lakes drying up. 

 The warning that many places in California will be out of water in 18 months or less.

 Wells running dry.

 Why then, is there rain on Hallowe'en freaking night?! Could it not have waited one more day? Seriously?

    Light showers in the morning, 90% steady rain all afternoon and evening in Santa Clara. It hasn't rained here, um, all year so it's hard to be upset but I agree that it didn't have to be on Halloween. Last year we had 350 trick or treaters. This year I'm expecting 20 at the most. Lots of bags of candy going back to Costco on Saturday.
