Midsummer Scream!

It's official! I've been accepted, once again into the largest Halloween and horror convention in the US, Midsummer Scream! YAAAS!

It's been four years since my last show, and I'm so excited! I'm so grateful to the show owners for getting me in and welcoming me back to the Halloween fold.

I also had a phone call from an owner of a different show who said she's going to try to get me into her show if a space opens up. (She has a list of folks who had been accepted into last year's show, but the show had to close down because of Covid-19 restrictions. Understandably, they have first right of refusal.)

What was especially heartwarming about hearing from her was her sharing that people had been asking where I was those first couple of years after I moved back to Los Angeles. I am really hoping that a space opens up for me and I can go see old friends and meet new ones with some of the great new pieces I'm working on! I love to have new offerings for people to fall in love with!

Anyway, if you want to hit an amazing convention, be sure to make some time at the end of July for Midsummer Scream!

Midsummer Scream: Just a Week Away!

It's crazy that in only one week, I'll be setting up for Midsummer Scream! Where did the time go?

"The World's Most Expensive Craft Table" has been overrun by underglazing in process, and the kiln just got done with another group of Halloween lovelies waiting for clear glaze and some color. There's a Raku firing to get to this weekend, too! EEK!
I'm going to get to it right now, so that's it for this post! But I hope to see you at the Long Beach Convention Center next week! I'm in booth 518.

Heading to Portland!

Home of Voodoo Donuts and the Unipiper, Portland, Oregon is also the home of the West Coast Haunters Convention!

I've shipped my product (hopefully, the breakables have arrived unbroken), I've packed my bags (and prayed I haven't forgotten anything vital) and will be setting up my booth on the convention floor later this afternoon.

Looking forward to seeing old friends, making new friends, and attending the West Coast's best costume ball!
If you come out, be sure to stop by the ShellHawk's Creations booth!

New Halloween Convention!

Midsummer Scream is coming to Long Beach, California at the end of July!

Brought to you by David Markland, one of the founders of ScareLA and his talented Terror Team, Midsummer Scream looks to be shaping up as a fantastic addition to the Halloween Convention Circuit.

And, of course, I'll be there, showing my wares!

More details to follow. Stay tuned!

Getting the Magic Going!

Load-in to Scare LA went pretty well today! It turns out I have way more stuff than I have space, so my dad and I are borrowing another table from a neighbor to bring in tomorrow. I'll set it up before the show floor opens.
This guy came by while we were setting up. Look! It's me! :D Totes legit, now! W00T! (Now, if I could only find my doggone banner!)
And my dad and friend Lola were there to help set up, and will be my booth monkeys this weekend. I am so relieved to have extra hands to help out, I can't even tell you! And Lola is a huge fan of all things Hallowe'en, so having her boundless enthusiasm bouncing around in my booth will be great. I'm still nervous about giving my presentation, but by and large, Hallowe'en folks are pretty supportive, so even if I suck, they probably won't throw tomatoes!

Well, off to bed. Big day tomorrow!
