Cars for the Apocalypse

In the event you are one of those folks who, like me, are looking for a new vehicle, you may be overwhelmed by all the considerations and options of said new vehicle.

Four wheel drive or all wheel drive? Automatic or standard? Hybrid? Truck?

Since you're upgrading, anyway, why not just be prepared for anything? Use this as your opportunity to prep for the upcoming Zombie Apocalypse!

AOL has a handy article to aid you in choosing your post-apocalyptic ride.
From the article:
To find the five best cars for surviving the zombie apocalypse, we looked at cars with good performance (for outrunning zombie hordes), maximum ground clearance (for plowing through zombie mobs without getting stuck), decent gas mileage (fuel will be scarce when society collapses), strong reliability ratings (try getting your car serviced when your mechanic is feasting on your brains), nice interiors (outrunning zombies is stressful and you’ll want good lumbar support) and maximum defensive capabilities (zombies will rip through a ragtop and devour you in no time). We’ve also pointed out cars that may seem like good options, but could end up turning you into the main course at a zombie buffet faster than you can scream, “Rick! Behind you!”
I've kind of had my heart set on a GPS, but I'm pretty sure the satellite connections would be screwed up, too. Oh, well, I'll enjoy it while it lasts!

Survival Tips from the Cast of The Walking Dead

Just in case you were wondering, here's some food for thought from the cast of AMC's The Walking Dead.

Surviving every day life can be a chore under the best of circumstances. Surviving the zombie apocalypse? Well... Weapons are at a premium, consumable resources are scarce and finding the will to face down the undead can be as challenging as finding your next meal. But don't take our word for it: Listen to the cast of The Walking Dead, who have experienced the apocalypse first-hand and lived long enough to share some survival tips.

Andrew Lincoln suggests packing a pair of swimming trunks, Sarah Wayne Callies recommends a go bag, and Lennie James shares his bean recipe and more.
Full article here.

Personally, I would add that you should always know where your towel is. But hey, that's just me.

The Orphaned Zombaby Epidemic

This baby is available for adoption. Please click on the pic to begin the process.
Etsy shop wiggletiggy is on a quest to re-home the ever-growing population of orphaned Zombabies through the Adopt a Zombaby Centre.

In the Centre's press release:
Orphaned Zombabies, their story is one of tragedy and of no fault of their own.

The Hungry little undead tots are orphaned because public reaction is lead by overused Hollywood stereotypes. Most adult Zombies are able to operate adequately within society, unfortunately, when people see zombies they push the panic button and bash their heads in with shovels. The calamitous result: orphaned Zombaby epidemic.

If you desire the emotionally fulfilling companionship of someone who will love you for your brains, please, consider adopting a Zombaby. By doing so you join thousands of other people around the world who have opened up their hearts and homes and are doing their part to help alleviate the orphaned zombaby epidemic.
Please help re-home these second-class citizens!

Linguistics Alert!

Via Garage of Evil, I have found a new way to expand my mind by learning a new language. Just think about all those new studies coming out, saying that if you continue to learn new things, you will slow down the onset of senility!

Yes, I will learn how to speak Zombie, and stave off the ever-present threat of mind-decay...

People may argue that it's not a real language, but we know better, don't we?
