Hauntcast Post Mortem: Autumn is Coming!

So, until I get my act together and share my Stanley Hotel fun, the good news I have to share today is the new Hauntcast is out!

HAUNTING GURU INTERVIEW: King and Queen of Halloween, Chris & Jeff Davis climb down from their Throne to talk to us peasants.
THEATER OF THE MIND: THE UNCANNY: RELOADED. Revenant opines that a firm grip on the mundane and ordinary in a haunt can add punch to the freaky stuff.
GHOULIE GROOVES: Hola Ghost breaks out the Glockenspiel to serenade Skully
CHARMED POT: Our Mistress of Mayhem meanders into the realm of Macabre music.
PROP SHOP: Denny spins you round like a record as he explains how-to Roto-cast.
SHOCKTAILS: Johnny looks confused with all the Game of Thrones references, as he doesn’t watch the show, but reviews something he does watch, Movies:Conjuring 2, Baskin and The Pack.
Just in time for prop-building season, kids!

Hauntcast 59 - Deep 13

Our penultimate show is ready for those wonderful folks who subscribed to Hauntcast and kept the show going for the last couple of years.

This is my last episode! *sniff, sniff* And I want to tell those folks who did listen and who brought us back from the dead, how much I appreciate them. Thanks, guys. It's been a great run!

So here's what's on the slab for the next-to-last show:

HAUNTING GURU INTERVIEW:Robert Beech from Brandywine Cemetery pops into the dungeon and oddly enough doesn’t bring any brandy wine. Chris & Gina Leslie from Grave Rock Gulch also stop by and throw a hoedown in the dungeon… good thing she didn’t get hurt.
GHOULIE GROOVES:All the walkers are lining up to get a taste of our musical guests “The Brains”
SHOCKTAILS:JT & Chris suffer from drinking elbow as they slam down Shocktails while reviewing Afflictedand Wolf Creek 2
THE MARKETING MORGUE:Dick bestows his final words of wisdom with the Three I’s before closing up the morgue.
THEATER OF THE MINDAll things vile and terrible, all villains great and small… Rev looks at backstory through haunted bifocals and sees nightmares of every size and scope.
THE CHARMED POT:Chris slips into the Charmed Pot with Shellhawk to bid her farewell.
THE PROP SHOP:Chris talks Denny down from the ledge as he is already suffering from separation anxiety.
TERROR TURNPIKE:Vysther cruises into Chicago on fumes to review his last haunt The Asylum Xperimnet in Villa Park.

Once again, please let me know if you'd like to order ShellHawk's Creations t-shirts. I'll be doing pre-orders only if there's enough interest!

I did a special blog post over on the Hauntcast "News" section that includes a bunch of links on "The Shining," so if you're interested, click here.

If you've never listened to the show, go to the Hauntcast home page and click on the old-timey radio on the upper left section of the page to download free episodes. If you have listened to the show and are balking at investing in your 2013 haunt by purchasing a subscription, then head over to the "News" page and click on any entry that has a sample of a current segment from the show. It may convince you to subscribe and take your haunt-home or pro- to the next level!

For instance, a segment new to Season Four of Hauntcast is "The Marketing Morgue," with The Voice From Hell, Dick Terhune. Even though I'm not promoting my haunt in this way, I've learned a bunch about marketing from this segment that I can apply to my ceramics business.

Previous listeners will remember Revenant's great segment, "Theater of the Mind," in which Rev discusses the psychology of haunting and how to include it in your haunt. I swear, his segment gets better, every time!

O.K., I'll stop with the ad for Hauntcast. But before I do, know that we have been green-lighted for a fifth season, and that we're the best possible way you have to spend your Christmas money...

Bloody kisses, darklings!

Last-Minute Father's Day Gift? Shocktail Hour, Of Course!

What could be better on Father's Day than Shocktails with dad?

On Shocktail Hour this month, JT and Chris Review Piranha 3DD, Prometheus and Chernobyl Diaries featuring music from Vegas Rhythm Kings.

I just saw Prometheus last night. I won't tell you what I thought about it until I listen to Johnny Thunder's review, because I just couldn't take it if he thought my review was "crap-tacular!" :oD
