By Midnight Tonight...

Eastern Standard Time, the newest, latest, greatest episode of Hauntcast will drop into the hearts and minds of all you folks who love Hallowe'en and haunting when others are just thinking about planting their Spring gardens.

This episode is completely free, so if you haven't listened for a while, please download the show and spread the word. I'll post our list of segments tomorrow when I get done with my boot camp class, so you all have a good idea of what's on the show.

Shocktail Hour News!

Our new t-shirt design and blatant play for beer money.
The new Shocktail Hour episode is up and ready for subscriber download!

Join JT & Baker at the Last Bar on the Left as they tip back a few cold ones and BS about the world of horror!
The boys will give you the poop about Macabre Faire Film Festival and Halloween Party & Expo shows, blather about the Walking Dead and Season 4 of Face off.
JT digs deep into his bag of tricks with Flashback reviews of House at the Edge of the Park and Beyond the Darkness.
The dastardly duo also review Silent Night, Millennium Bug, John Dies At the End & Texas Chainsaw 3D. Taking you to the bridge, JT interviews band BlakOpz and spins a few tracks from their album Blood, Sweat And Fear.

The new Shocktail Hour and Hauntcast t-shirts are available for order, too, so support our beer budget and buy one! And subscribe to Hauntcast, already. Sheesh.

Christmas on the Way. Wow.

Christmas ornaments on our kitschy tree at GETty Crafty
I can't believe it's nearly here, already. Christmas and the end of the year are a breath away, and I am completely undone by how fast this year went by! I'm sure all of you feel the same, even if this was a crappy year for you and you're happy to see the back end of it and start on Lucky 2013.
Anyone want some Jack
ornaments? I'll be
making some when I get
back...

That's what I've dubbed it. Lucky 2013! You saw it here first, and I want my residuals if you decide to use it!

Lucky because I'm going to continue to work hard, and am in the process of making plans for the business for the coming year. I'm planning out new pieces, marketing strategies (ha!) and all manner of grown-up things.

And before that, a well-earned vacation!

When I get back, some of these delightful Christmas ornaments will be available for purchase on my Etsy store:
I had a good time at the GETty Crafty Holiday Bazaar (pic of me in my new Holiday dress below!), though we had a tough time due to a nasty rain storm that blessed us that day (massive eye roll.) Even so, there were some wonderful peeps who turned out for the sale, and we were happy to get a chance to chat.
No, this is not a real light bulb. It's ceramic, through and through!
Oh, and this bowl turned out pretty cool! I'll put it on Etsy when I get back from vacation.
Since I'll not be attending to my store until December 10th or 11th, I've decided to put it on vacation 'till I get back. I haven't really  had much of a day off since August, and I am far overdue for a break! I will be touching base with the blog while I'm off, so comments will be posted as they come in.

If you're interested in the Jack ornaments, keep a eye on the store as I'll be making some and posting them after the 16th or so. Since I ship Priority Mail, you should be able to get them in time for Christmas!

In any case, I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving! Check out the new Hauntcast when it comes out the first Friday of December, and check out the latest Shocktail Hour, 'cause it's seriously cool!

Catch ya later, kids!

Last-Minute Father's Day Gift? Shocktail Hour, Of Course!

What could be better on Father's Day than Shocktails with dad?

On Shocktail Hour this month, JT and Chris Review Piranha 3DD, Prometheus and Chernobyl Diaries featuring music from Vegas Rhythm Kings.

I just saw Prometheus last night. I won't tell you what I thought about it until I listen to Johnny Thunder's review, because I just couldn't take it if he thought my review was "crap-tacular!" :oD

Shocktail Hour-Now Pouring! and Other Tidbits

Chris Baker and Johnny Thunder tie one on during the latest episode of Shocktail Hour. (I know you're surprised as heck!) I have to say I've been enjoying the show, myself. I've discovered a number of movies I never would have heard of because of Johnny Thunder, and I always look forward to hearing what he has to say.

In other news, the El Dorado Hills Art & Wine Affaire went pretty well over all.
I managed to snag a place on the bridge, which not only gave me some of the best views in the entire place, but gave me a nice breeze and only one row of vendors, rather than being lost among a bunch of them. Load in was pretty quick, as Mr. ShellHawk came with me and helped set up. Sales were decent, but not as much as I'd hoped, though I covered my booth fee and a little more, even after the 10% commission I had to pay. I took a bunch of pictures and will be posting some of my "normal" ceramics on Etsy shortly. My beer cups look like they may be a popular item, so be sure to look for those!

This week has been about catching up and cleaning house, as the house looked like a bomb went off in it! The dogs all got their long-overdue baths yesterday, so the loose fur will be floating along today. They'll all get to be brushed well again today, which my now-81-pound puppy still isn't sure about.

Next stop: West Coast Haunters Convention!

You Can't Stop the Signal, Mal

Woo-Hoo! *happy dance* You've done it!

Hauntcast subscriptions hit 200 yesterday, then pushed past to 205, leaving only 45 subscriptions until the big raffle! Today the exploding fuse box prop will be raffled off so keep an eye on this post for the announcement. The first Hauntcast show will air on April 6th, and the new Fright Flicks spinoff show, "Shocktail Hour" will air next Friday, March 16th. I can't wait!

Thank you to everyone who has spread the word about the resurrection effort. Don't stop now! Keep that momentum going to 250 and beyond so we can ensure our bi-monthly haunt and Hallowe'en fix. And, of course, only the first 250 subscribers will be eligible for the big raffle, so be sure to get in the running now!

Truly, no power in the 'verse can stop us. Hit that 250 mark, and there's another Firefly quote in it for you:

"We've done the impossible, and that makes us mighty!"

Sorry. Feeling very shiny today. The news was just fantastic to wake up to!

UPDATE:

Congratulations to Forty Thieves for winning the exploding fuse box prop!

Shocktail Hour is Here!

The pilot episode of Shocktail Hour has been posted in the left sidebar of the Hauntcast home page for your convenience, so head on over to listen to the horror, mayhem and madness of Johnny Thunder and Chris Baker!

We're seeing some really positive support where subscriptions are concerned, but we have a long way to go. Please Tweet, blog, Facebook, and email everyone you know so we can make this happen and have something great to listen to during the build season!
Then you can say that you were a part of the crew who have Done the Impossible, and brought Hauntcast back from the dead.
Update: There have been over 250 downloads of Shocktail Hour, yet we're still short of our 250 subscription goal. Don't be a freeloader! Please take a minute to subscribe to Hauntcast so you can get a monthly dose of both Hauntcast and the mid-month episode of Shocktail Hour.

Shocktails, Anyone?

What better way to celebrate America's President's Day weekend than to listen to the teaser episode of Shocktail Hour?

Yes, Shocktail Hour is coming out tomorrow, boils and ghouls. Brainchild of Johnny Thunder and Chris Baker, Shocktail Hour is the promised spinoff of popular Hauntcast segment Fright Flicks. It will cover not only movies, but comics, books, and the answer to the burning question that begs an answer: "Exactly how drunk can Chris Baker get and still be able to pronounce his own name?"

J.T. and Chris know the secret of great marketing, which is, "The first hit is always free." That's right, they're throwing this episode out for nothin', honey, to give you a taste of what it would be like to have that juicy, mid-month episode of Hauntcast you've always wanted. If Hauntcast hits 250 subscriptions, you'll get Shocktail Hour every month!

I'm completely floored by the responses starting to flow in from all sorts of unexpected places, like Singapore, for example:
Jon LeongHi Scream Team, I am a listener from Singapore. I'm just wondering if your resurrection fund raiser discounts and raffles, etc will be applicable to contributors outside of the USA?
Newbies who have never heard the show before are subscribing! This from Crypt Keeper on Hauntforum:
ah! I never listened to Hauntcast before... just something about a Podcast versus a video... that I never gave it a chance or a listen or ANYTHING. then 100 dollars a year for a Podcast that I never listened to. No thanks. then the absolute outpouring of support from some very talented, very inspiring people... eh. then discount after discount after discount... hmm.raffle after raffle after raffle... its still 100 bucks! that's a huge chunk of Halloween fund!raffle-raffle-raffle- paypal bill me later- Terra, Stolloween, Allen Hopps (only aranamuerta left to round out the group of web-people that have completely turned me into a Halloween do-it-yourself freak!).. 16 bucks a month... cut back on soda a little bit... not bad.
PLUS if Hauntcast is even a 1/4 as good as everyone is making it out to be... I dunno. I'm a cheap-cheap-cheap bas----! and you won me over... (OH I forgot the magazine offer too!) Now I just gotta learn the ropes of navigating the Hauntcast site.
Count me in.
Leonard Pickel has thrown in a pair of passes for Hauntcon for the raffle, and Ed Roberts of West Coast Haunters has thrown in two three-day passes! There's a bunch more happening, and you can check it all out on the Hauntcast subscription page, or check out a past show or two on the past shows page.

Hauntcast. Where all the cool ghouls come out to play.
