Friday the 13th- Quick Review

Why?

You Did Know

That the latest Haunt Cast is up, right? Good.

What are you doing still hanging around here? Go and listen to it, fer chrissakes!

NHC

I only have a couple of minutes to post about the NHC right now (more soon!), but I wanted to give co-owners Robert Kocher and Michael Bruner a big, sloppy kiss from me for running the National Haunter's Convention so smoothly. At any event of this size, there are going to be organizational challenges and things that go wrong. I'm sure that happened at the Con, but I never saw anything go anything but well.

Cheers, guys! Thanks for a great time!

Ape at National Haunter's Convention

I couldn't leave my second-best buddy behind, mostly because I was afraid he'd fling poo the first chance he got. Mr. ShellHawk would have had words with me about that, so I brought Christmas Ape along. He needed new pics for his Facebook page, anyhow.
Ape was one of the Haunt Cast Ambassadors, greeting all with a hearty "Ook!" when he didn't greet them with a frightened, "Eeek!"
Freddy and Jack spent some quality Simian time with him.
Darling friend, Ann G., scared the stuffing out of him with her sharp custom fangs...
He was glad not to be the victim, this time...
Ape and new BFF discussed the pros and cons of Brains vs. Coffee. I think Ape let the "brains" side win this time.
Overjoyed to play with folks his own size, even if they are a little pale...
He just killed the ladies!
At last, relaxing at the airport wine bar in his new costume while awaiting his flight home...

You, too, can be this fake person's fake friend on Facebook. Do a search for "Chris Aype," and he'll send you fake bananas and be your fake BFF.

If anyone has pics of the NHC you want to share-of me or any of the crew-please let me know and I'll have you send them out!

Con Pics

Is that a photon pack, or are you just happy to see me?
Thought this last one was a new diet plan, and well worth the money...

More pics, soon!

I'm Off!

And I'm leaving, too. I'm headed for the airport in the next couple of hours to catch a red-eye to Pennsylvania and the National Haunter's Convention. I'll try to post pics and stuff from the show, but you know how crazy things can get, and how hard Haunters can party!

See ya when I get back!

New Flameless Candles Coming-Via Haunted Mansion Technology

Thanks to Carl Kestner on the Garage of Evil Yahoo group for posting this. I look forward to seeing these in my pumpkin pots.

With fire marshals showing up to shut down haunts, it seems that this would be a fantastic way to put in one more inexpensive safety feature.

Night Owls

From the very talented Dave Lowe at Para Abnormal Comics.

ShellHawk on Skull-A-Day

I sent a picture of this little guy over to Skull-A-Day a little while back, not really expecting it to be posted. But look! It did!

Here's what they said about my entry and another very cool entry:

Light C** says:

I know visions of Halloween immediately come to mind in these two examples, but the act of containing a flammable material in a non-flammable container is universal for any time of the year. I really like decorative lanterns because I am mesmerized by the patterns of light and shadow they cast, and imagining the patterns these two pieces cast has removed them from a holiday decoration and made them into works of art for me. Thank you both for sharing your work with us.
Thank you for posting my creation, Skull-A-Day. Love You! Love Your Show!

I will be making more of these, so please keep an eye out on Etsy. Other things should be going into the shop this week...

House of Franklinstein

I've posted pics from the talented and clever Laurie Beast before, but never these. She's a self taught sculptor, and her abilities are growing from year to year.

I particularly like the woebegone expression on the short, creepy little guy.
